I’ll be getting under the car again next week to do an oil change and I’m going to closely inspect everything again, but every time I look everything is clean (except for normal road dirt) and dry.

I know this is a weird oil and it will evaporate but I would imagine if I had I leak I would see some kind of evidence like residue or caked on dirt or something. It may evaporate but I doubt it’s magical stuff that turns completely invisible. Who knows, I’ve been wrong before.

Is there any possibility for an internal leak in the rotrex?

Can you think of any place else I should be looking specifically?

It would be making gnarly noises if there was an internal leak. Check all hoses and clamps in the Rotrex lubrication system for any wetness.

The fluid does dry rather quickly.

Is anyone using the C38-71 instead of the C38-81? I've spent a good deal of time on the Rotrex compressor maps and am convinced the 71 would be the best for my goals (93 oct, hbp, ace 400, 7k rpm redline).

Okay, this is interesting. I have replaced the softest red spring of the diverter valve with the stiffer blue spring. That improved the low rpm power. Explanation, I think, is simple. The stiffer spring is recirculating less air and sending more boost to intake which increases the power at lower rpm. I will try the even stiffer yellow spring and report here. I thought this was interesting to share.

Edit: I tested the stiffest yellow spring. There is less but still noticeable power gain at lower rpm over the blue spring. And, when I release the throttle suddenly during acceleration, I hear less amount of re-circulation sound. I will keep the yellow spring although it was marked for highest boost applications. Please let me know if you see any harm for engine doing so.

Not releasing boost when you have vacuum means you're getting compressor surge, and can damage the supercharger.

I still hear boost is released at idle and when accelerator is released. But it sounds and feels a more gradual (not sudden) boost release. The engine feels smoother to me. Would you be interested checking this out over there?
I think this is what you are pointing out. I am quoting from the Rotrex manual:
"If you choose to position the throttle body downstream, a re-circulation valve is
recommended. If the valve is omitted the supercharger will create noise under deceleration caused by surge.
Surge occurs when the supercharger keeps making pressure at low airflow forcing the compressor to work
outside the intended operation area. This will be most noticeable on high boost applications under high
engine rpm with the throttle closed (deceleration). The re-circulation valve will prevent surge by allowing air
to circulate from the pressure side of the supercharger to the inlet side of the supercharger under manifold
vacuum conditions."

The supercharger was making more noise under sudden deceleration with the stock valve.

Hmmm interesting.

Can you PM me links to everything you're using?

I'm curious to try.

Finally decided I'm going to pick this up with my year-end bonus and am starting to plan the build.

I'm massively OCD and completionist when it comes to buttoning things up whenever I do a mod so what have people been doing for supporting items (and brands for those items) with these?

I'm planning on putting in a Cosworth long tube header when I put the kit in and expect there are going to be a lot of the usual culprits; stage 2 clutch, injectors, fuel pump, oil cooler, etc.

Any particular Injectors/Pumps/Oil Coolers I should be looking at?

Cosworth/nameless?

Not recommended unless you like regularly replacing melted fans.
