At least with a door ding (God forbid..) in most cases people just aren't careful and fling their door open. This was honestly preventable. Yeah it's definitely not that serious. I definitely didn't see anything deep. But just the idea of gravel and dirt on the ball getting hurled into the car hurts.

that really sucks dude. the evil in me says leave some hazardous materials around and let the problem sort it self out.

Got in an argument on FB with a couple old "family friends" about the whole shooting thing from the other day, etc. One of them is super conservative, gun-toting, whole 9 yards.

One of them decided to say I stated things that I clearly didn't (I even was able to quote myself using two separate comments of mine on the thread stating the opposite), and so I mentioned how he had an issue with reading comprehension because he put words I didn't say in my mouth. His excuse was "well I don't have time in my job to just read comments thoroughly, and now you had to insult my intelligence", etc.

I guess twisting words and then refusing to give sufficient time for reading a thoughtful statement on an important topic is no big deal but highlighting what they did is an insult.

So the Pixel 2 won't come with a 3.5mm head phone jack. Wasn't it just last year that Google was making fun of apple for doing that?

Call me old fashioned, but I like my $3 headphones that work 99% of the time and can survive a few rounds in the washing machine. Guess I'm not getting a Pixel 2...

Thought it was funny how Google or Samsung dissed Apple about it last year. All things eventually happen for everybody :P

I'm fortunate, I just use Bluetooth nowadays unless I'm in the car, at which point I mostly use USB over Bluetooth for longer drives.
