My service department quoted $1800 for the lip, side bits, and rear spats.

Yep, same price as the Series.Blue at the time. Difference is I got the lighter STI wheels and underbody panels as well (another $2K in parts alone). Painted brake calipers, STI start button, blue accent interior and the knee pads all add up to a bargain at it's price.

How much of a bargain the new tS is will have to wait until the price is announced.

How hard were the Series Blue to get a hold of? Looking back Subaru made 1,000 of those. If we're looking at 500 of the tS this time around, how hard are they going to be to get a reasonable price on. I know right now I can get 500 under invoice for a 2017 with PP. If demand is solid the best hope would be to get it for MSRP for the tS.

If they don't add any of the hard stuff to the tS (stiffer rear subframe, up rated bushings) then swapping the other stuff won't be that much of an expense or issue. The wing doesn't add anything to my desire for this car either. Looks like it will attract the wrong kind of attention.

The wait is tough since I'm ready to pull the trigger on a 2017 PP. Did no one get a chance to look underneath the car at Boxerfest?

Dallas/Fort Worth area is pretty big for these cars, so there were quiet a few available here. Depends on your area and your dealer allotment.

Anyone have the STI v-bars setup with the flexible tower bar? Ever since I installed the v-bars I have been dealing with a knock sound then the body flexes. Sounds like the v-bars are loose and making a knock sound when put under pressure. All nuts/bolts torqued to spec. Thanks for any insight.

^^^ agreed. Probably best to readjust. Check the bracket that holds to the subframe as well. If I remember correctly, it is designed to install with a lot of play between the bolts/bracket/mounting locations until tightened and you may have missed something there? Maybe also check the strut tower bar torque specs? That might be groaning.

I don't have this problem myself though.

Thanks for the replies guys. I have done everything under the sun. Taken both off put back to stock, no noticeable noise for two days. Put tower bar back on by itself, no noise. Put everything back on, noise comes back. Tighten beyond spec, still noise. Readjust back to spec. Can't seem to figure it out. I thought about needing the draw stiffener but would that cause an issue not having it? Perhaps it is something else....

Have you tried just using the flexible v-bars without the flexible tower bar? Since they originally don't recommend running both together with our older cars anyway.

BTW don't reuse those stretch nuts get new ones just to be safe.

It wont affect things adversely necessary... just wouldn't have the benefits.

IDK what to say about the noise tho...

I think I prefer the new wing. Feel like it fits the aero kit better.
