But they need the extra lumens for all the offroading they do.

My least favorite is pretty much any "luxury" brand sucks, Mercedes, Audi, Tesla, BMW, the SUV's surely nail you a bit more, but even a Model S or A5/S5 or 5 series is just misery.

Truck/SUV's get my side view mirrors too, at this point I just slow way the fuck down until they pass me and save a few teaspoons of gas.

Well, I'm stupid. Mine has the manual plastic thing at the bottom. I swear I'd looked for it before but I guess I'm blind as a bat on that one.

The car from the example I mentioned earlier was an SUV, but its lights were the regular old kind of lamps, not LED/HID.

Also you'll be surprised, some of the most blinding headlights these days are OEM units on regular lo-beams but the race for brightness says 'fuck you driver who isn't in a high up vehicle'

That's why I specifically bought an FR-S without HID/LED/bullshit.

I wonder if the squeaky clean bro truck owners even know that the bluer the light, the less lumens they'll have. LOL

Maybe it's the way that I adjust my mirrors, but the only cars aside from the bro trucks that get me are all the Hondas driving around with their high beams on.

I think it really depends on how much nighttime driving you do as to how much of a problem you perceive it to be. A half hour here and there nbd, might have a jerk two or three times per week.

I used to spend ~3 hours on the road after dark every week or other week, an hour and a half one way up 680 > 80 to Sacramento then back for about two years. You pick out trends once the flight path is on autopilot so to speak. The number of shittily modified cars never outweighed the OEM cars blasting my retinas. Even here with boatloads of money, 'luxury' cars are not common, despite how many you notice on your commute they're still the minority.

Ah, exactly what I started doing, if you leave later there's less traffic!

Went from leaving at 7-8 and started leaving at 10-11, helps a ton.

I still maintain that modified cars are less problematic than OEM's creating their own headlight war.

I mean, people buy tons of beer each week to drink and that's disposable. What's 80 bucks for entertainment that lasts at least a couple years?
