Yes you would, but not 30 minutes after a Senior in highschool is given his license

I honestly feel like the car is plenty fast. For the sake of reliability, I don't plan on ever boosting the car. I just don't feel a need for it. The most I'll end up doing is cold air which I'm currently looking for the right one.

None of them are the right one, unless you have entirely too much money burning a hole in your pocket.

I didn't even see him until I was halfway into his lane. I was on the way to class when it happened and I was actually pretty shook, but it's life and it goes on. I've been on two rally style events with multiple twins and other sporty cars, driving fast, way faster than we're supposed to go (most recent was a mountain run through west virginia) and It just makes me think a little. I will say If I was in a car that wasnt the FRS I most likely would have had an accident that day due to the size of the vehicle. Overall the FRS has been quite a fun car to daily drive. It's really taught me things about driving that I dont think I would have had the opportunity to learn in any other vehicle.
So if the guy came out of nowhere, it was you who wasn't paying attention, doesn't matter if the person was on their phone or not. Given that you admit to driving with a bit too much enthusiasm, I'd be willing to bet you think you have much more skill than you actually do, which means you don't pay enough attention to what's around you.

There are several lessons for Volt. Hopefully he finds his limits in a safe setting. The paying attention thing is something from which we all suffer to various degrees.

I've probably preached about it here but the most dangerous time for all drivers is when we start to feel confident in our abilities. Either driving in general, or learning a new platform.

Most feel the "right one" is already in your car ....... however, you may replace the filter with a free-er flowing filter (if you must do something) ......

Lol, at least you aren't my friend who, on the same day, got his motorcycle license, bought a (used) 600cc Ducati, then crashed it on the way home. I had just gotten done telling him that everyone puts one down at least once so maybe a Ducati wasn't the best first bike, but he wanted to learn the hard way. I'm sure there's a moral somewhat applicable here, but I'm not too good with those...

No humans were significantly harmed in the making of this story. And the Ducati made a full recovery, sans passenger foot peg and some cool looking battle scars.

This car is faster than just about every car a mere mortal can afford in the corners.

Perhaps you should think more, if you are having a "rally" on public roads at your experience level.
I missed the part where you said your were just 18, here's hoping you make 19. Or only hurt just yourself in the crash and not some innocent bystander.

The events I've been on were very organized routes and planned far ahead by organizations. Not calling up a few buds and flying down the interstate. One of the rallys i was on was sponsored by this forum you're typing on. (2017 86 Expo)

But sure my dude, wish a crash upon me

Stats are on my side, unfortunately. You even admitted you almost ate it on "very organized routes" "driving fast, way faster than we're supposed to go". Sounds like the organizers and leaders of that event suck ass.

Good luck.

Yes, i admitted I almost ate it during the FT86 Expo, hmm. I'm under the impression you read the part where I was talking about a texting and driving ****head flying up the left lane on my way to school last week and somehow merged that with my experience on the expo.

Nice.
