Originally thought I'd go to Neal but it's kinda far to go all the way up there and my weekends are kinda busy right now. At this point probably just going to the dealer for my first but might be curious on other local shops if there are reliable ones.

Elite Performance in Burlingame or Mann Engineering in San Jose. There is also Pit Row in San Jose which is a DIY shop if you wanted to do it yourself. Not sure if the cost is worth it for such a small job though.

Pit Row has a thing where if you can change your oil in like 30 mins it's free or something like that.

Well damn, thats awesome. I kinda figured there would be some sort of oil change special since it would be a fairly popular quick service

Like this place wasn't a luxury place or in a fancy complex or anything. It's probably reeeally worth like 1500 (at a maximum), but it's being leased for a lot more than that.

Welcome to the Bay Area lol. I honestly haven't seen anything go for a reasonable price nowadays. You'll probably be able to find a cheaper place but you might have to compromise with some things.

Hey man if you where closer I'd offer to do it for the price of the oil and a filter and a couple beers. I would try elite performance if that's closest to you, I don't trust speedy oil changes, I like to let it fully drip out before putting in new oil.

Dealerships I trust even less with small jobs like that, to easy for them to mess up something or even scratch or ding your car/ grind some gears. Mess with your seating position or change your radio sets. Man dealer services really upset me everytime I got so nervous every dealer service I had with this car when it was new. Doing it yourself or taking it to a place you really trust is worth it in the long run in my opinion.

I totally agree drives me crazy and it always takes a while for me to get back perfectly as it was if the up/down seat part is moved as well as the angle of the backrest. I can manage the back and forth one more easily but the moment that's changed plus other stuff I'm all out of whack.

I know at the dealership I used to work at, you weren't allowed to move a customers seat. I've seen a really big guy cram himself into an small Asian lady's car. lol

I got a question and curious if anyone knows what's up.

So Neal @The Racers Line replaced my clutch+TOB last weekend and did a great job. I noticed my HUD that displays the gear I'm in was off when he was done. So ok that makes sense he had to disconnect some connection from the trans when pulling it out and back in again. What is wierd is the opening little dumb message on my basic pioneer HU was reset back to default "Scion". Nothing else was changed or reset, I can't figure out why that opening message would be changed from pulling the trans out and back in again.

It's totally not a problem and I just set that stuff again in 5 mins. But I'm just curious why it would have been erased from that job? The world is a mystery.

Please chime in if you know why that may have happened.

Also props to Neal again for a great job.
