Yes, I did! Did you back out of an order, or just pass when this one became availble?

Whiteout wasn't my first choice, black was but now that I have it I have totally changed my mind (but then of course I am biased)

I was informed good news on tuesday july 3 that my car (whiteout AT) had arrived & was so excited to go in wednesday night to do paper work at OR scion richmond...guess what...when I got there..."sorry they made a mistake during inventory etc... your car isn't in & it'll should be here in 2 weeks"...i decided to do 3hrs of paper work just for a grad rebate which i hounded my sister for to come down to do...

talk about losing browny points here as I was ready to buy the car...

PS there was a black, ashphalt, hot lava sitting there also waiting to be PDI...1 red taking delivery

FYI they have a policy that if your not seriously considering buying the FR-S they will most onto the next person on the list that wants the car...

How would they decide whether a person is serious about it or not?

I was specifically asked the question & that's when he told me about the store policy.

I talked to the General manager and he told me their policy is to call you as the car get here and you have to come down test drive and buy the car within the next few days or its being sold to someone else.

They had a couple people who had cars come in as if they can wait until the end of the month so they aren't too happy about that.

I would inform the General Manager cause he will deff stay of it after hearing me bitch about the exp he doesn't want any more fuck ups.

Also I wouldn't believe shit that comes from the dealers mouth. I was told my car was in and I would get it multiple times but never happened then when the car was there I was told they were too busy to PDI it which I confirmed from Barry is never the case.

Sounds like there's a lot of issues with the local dealerships. I was also talking to the guys at Regency when I went to pick up my mudflaps today (not sure about putting them on since there's like 3-4 types of screws and all the holes look the same T_T).

They said a lot of people from OpenRoad aren't getting their cars in order and have been asking them about potentially getting it from them instead. =S

It's so wrong to assume that a customer won't buy the car after ordering it. Should be disclaimed during the pre-order process. I work in the telecom industry in the quality assurance dept & believe me I'm going to give some constructive customer feedback about this whole FR-S presale process.

I'm already dealing with an assistant sales manager for my order. Just a huge inconvenience for my sister take time out of her schedule to get me the grad rebate.

Btw Mr. Jay, I heard about what happened to your process. Not good.

Yeah it was pretty shitty. I am sorry for those of you I told to go to OR to buy. The launch was handled by the Sales Manager who dropped the ball IMO. The General Manager was not too happy when I was speaking to him, I gave them a good earful of how shitty the exp was so I hope you all get better treatment than me.

I'm a little late seeing this, but sure. I don't mind driving you out there. But trust me, you should be able to drive after you've got the feel for the clutch. Really thats all that you need. Once you know where the clutch grabs, the FR-S is really easy to drive.

It's just going to take some practice, which means driving. It took me about a week to finally get real comfertable with the stick.

I still can't quite heel toe though. My size 11.5's don't really make it very easy! But I'm working on it.
