Still waiting on video from OP.

And it's no wonder I don't hang around with fellow 86 owners.

Lol you must have not been to orange county. Everyone goes 10 under until you try to go around, then they mash the gas. It's a very "me first" area, and I hate it. It's a very selfish area, but it's where the work is.

The 328 is ubiquitous here in a way that camrys, etc. are when I visit my parents further south. The area's a demographic outlier for sure, it's a very image centric area. Lots of actual rich (not driving 328's) or "want to appear" rich, driving 328's. It's just the way the area is.

I hope he posts a video of slowly pulling past a parked car. That would be genius.

This is where concept is lost relating to reality. The rate of change of speed is just not great enough. If your front wheel was at the other cars back wheel at 60mph, and if you both were accelerating at the same time, by the time you hit 80, your front wheels will probably be lined up with his front door handle. It will probably take you a whole 10-15 seconds to pass and you are well over 100 mph.
You realize you went from arguing that:

(1) the FR-S has the "same" passing power as an econobox (which the 60-80 mph and 60-100 mph numbers show is wrong)

to

(2) the FR-S doesn't have enough power to put multiple carlengths on an econobox from 60-80 mph.

How did this stupid arguement get this long. XD

FRS is slow but high gear ratio+ light weight made it ok compare to econo box.

Ofcourse it's gonna be slower then high power cars unless you live on mt. akina. lmao

LOLOL in my area 50%+ cars fit the fast car profile and I would have no chance if they tried. hell I will be ballsie enough to say 60% + of the cars in my area... for every tercel/civic/prius I see, I see a Mercedes/lexus/Camaro/mustang/bmw/audis/anything else that can overtake us... a little less common would be Maserati's/Bentleys/porsches/teslas/exotics those are more like 1 in 20 or 30.. I still see at least 5 maseratis daily (couple guys in town have them), Bentleys I only see those a time or two a week... definitely people with $$$ around my area though. around the corner from my work is a guy that has an m5, 2 458 italias (one with a liberty walk kit on it), Mercedes AMG, Nissan skyline r34, audi r8, and I believe a Lamborghini but I haven't seen that in a few months so he may have gotten rid of it... but that is just ONE GUY.. im rambling on I know, but I am just so jealous of his collection

Same same but different...
I live on the border of Del Mar and Rancho Sante Fe (Highest per capita income in the US)... Lamborghinis, Porsches, AMGs, Ferraris - just on my street. Bentleys, R8s, i8s, Bugattis, McLarens, and practically every hyper car you can imagine within a 10 mile radius.

But it is those damn Teslas that piss me off. I can't swing a dead cat without hitting one! Talk about fast off the line...

I still love my FRS though.
