I guess you might say I like CHEAP THRILLS

I travel a pile for work and usually chew up a car in 3 or 4 years so always go as cheap as I can without sacrificing too much fun. In this case I figured 3 years and throw it away and buy a new one. I now plan to just keep this one and fix it as things break. This will be first car in the last 4 I didn't just trade in when things started to wear out.

It measures 1/2 inch short of 14 feet long, which is the cutoff for a discounted small car rate on the Washington State Ferries.
Significant savings if you have to commute.
edit: One of the reasons I don't have a spoiler or front lip.

I already knew about the purpose designed chassis and low CG, but when I noticed the length in the stats, I bought mine the next day.
And it was cheap.

Bonus: direct replacement for my old Alfa GTV2k bar a Civic S and Grand Caravan in between.

Thumbs up

For me it started in gran turismo, I downloaded a prototype dlc of this car and I loved to race with it also how it looked. That lead to when my old BMW 3 series was on its way out for me to test drive it and immediately I feel in love. I test drove this car in an auto and I was thoroughly impressed. I also did mountains of research and loved the design fundamentals of the car. I ordered a manual just based off of how well the auto drove, the low center of gravity and lack of body roll was something I really appreciate. I've been so happy with this car. I used to be big in German cars until I got more familiar with Japanese sports cars and this car really cemented that in. I love this car to a point that it is a little unhealthy. I find this car special and treat it as such. Although it is cheap to me it's my Ferrari with a scion badge.

I was a year and a half out of college and wanted to buy a new car. Had always driven used cars and wanted something new.

I follow the KISS principle as complicated things break and are hard to fix. This car isn't terribly complicated.

Rwd was a must have for me just because.

That all got me into the dealership. What sold it was just sitting in the drivers seat for the first time. It just felt right. Every other car looked like... Well a generic interior. Everything was in the right place and easy to reach. Idk, just got emotional over it and couldn't stop thinking about it for a week. Then I went back and bought it.

It was in my budget.
It was RWD.
It has folding back seats.
I don't carry many people/ things.
Lots of aftermarket options.
Looks absolutely stellar looks both FRS/86/ BRZ.
And is a simple car I can learn to work on.
It was my college graduation gift to myself.

cheapest fun car that I thought looked good that I felt like buying new. I was sick of fixing used cars and I wanted at least 3 years of stress free driving. I've had a couple of problems so being able to just take it to the dealer and say, "fix it" without worrying about the cost or anything is REALLY REALLY nice. plus those free oil changes were pretty cool to have while they lasted.
