Skid light came on as well as check engine while sitting idle at McDonalds. Drove the car soft today. Idle was up and down when lights came on. Got home five minutes later and plugged in my Acctron OBDII reader in. Said the car was too lean. Cleared codes. Lights went off. All is good. 104F temp today. Strange. Now carrying Acctron permanently. Hmmm.

From the pics on his website, looks like it's got an intake, axleback exhaust, and lightweight crank pulley.

Definitely not stock. Thinking the intake as well. Temps?

Given the recent heat wave in ambient air temps, idling in a drive through out in the sun probably had the intake sucking in hot engine bay air that rises up from the header since your intake has no heat shielding around it like stock and some of the other aftermarket intakes.

I'm not sure if the intake air being too hot would make it run lean but I'd bet that it's not good for it, hence the CEL.

One thing I read earlier today from Element Tuning. They are using a Hydra stand alone tuning solution, and they say the car is fairly knock prone, which is why it is tuned relatively rich at the top end, to avoid knock. So if your intake is leaning out the top end, the car might be getting worried and throwing codes, because it wants to be richer to avoid any sort of knock condition.

I know the early intakes so far have all focused on leaning out the top end to get more power, but the other side of that is the risk to the AFR. That's why several good companies have not released intakes yet, like Perrin and Nameless, because they know for street driving the stock AFR is by far the safest way to go.

Put modified stock intake back on (i.e. K&N and noise generator delete) and no more issues. The issue was due to Humidity only. Ran fine for weeks until high temps with humidity.

Miss the growl.

I dropped in a K&N filter and got a code for MAF because (while the car was off) I unplugged the MAF sensor to make it easier to remove the housing to drop in the K&N. Cleared it with a friends Dashawk and all is good 600 miles later.

Running a drop in filter as well without issue.

I picked up my car Friday night and this is exactly what happened to me on my first drive away from my dealer. I took it back yesterday and they ran diagnostics and said there was an issue with ignition timing. Can't get it fixed til sometime this week though. Sad days.

Florida has great temperatures right now, even at night, and I'm still getting this issue. But intake temperatures are between 102F and 104F while in low speeds. When I start moving it stays around 77F to 98F. I just put the stock intake back on and cleared the code.
