What's regarded as the most comfortable spring/shock combination for the street that offers about a 0.8 inch drop? I currently have Tien Flex Z and while they're better than stock, I'm curious how they fare against some of the other products that have since come out. My car is a DD with some autox thrown in once in a while.
Thanks! |

My son had his Apex ARC-8 17 x 9 rims and 245/40R17 Pirelli P Zero AS Plus tires mounted Saturday. He also has the RCE Yellow springs and camber bolts. This setup clears the strut tower by 2mm or so with no spacer. He was able to get -0.8 of negative camber in the front. Rear chamber was -2.0 because of the drop. RCE do you see any issues with this setup? Mostly street and occasional spirited mountain driving. Thanks! Last edited by jmark; 09-11-2017 at 08:31 AM. |

jmark: to my taste it is stock-like too understeer-ish setup, but my suggestion "to fix it" with adding front negative camber probably wouldn't work due alignment being as it is to clear fender/suspension parts. Some understeer but not rubbing probably is better then other way around. If he wishes to stick to those wheels .. maybe some wheel spacers front would allow better clearance & for more dial-able camber front? Even if not for handling reasons, mentioned 2mm clearance seem a bit on thin side .. some debris catched in may rub, no?

I don't believe the spring rates were ever released by Subaru/SPT/STI

That doesn't mean they can't be tested.

That set-up sounds pretty good. More negative camber up front would be better, but it will still be a lot of fun as is. - Andrew |

Given your intended use I would suggest doing it properly and buy a pyrometer.

what coilover options would you guys recommend for around the $2000 mark for pure street/spirited driving will have lca's and bushing kit and toe links. wheel setup is 18x8.5/18x9.5 staggered would love to see the options with possibly keeping in mind to be australia friendly regarding rebuilding these.
Preferable 60mm springs regular to coilovers. |

Can't find my answer when searching (maybe I suck at searching?)
What's the solution for roll center adjuster/bump steer (lower front ball joint & tie rod) now that Whiteline no longer makes them? I only found Summit Racing kit (http://www.summit-racing.eu/subaru/b...ubaru-brz.html) but wanted to see if there are other options such as piecing together diff. brand parts to achive the same result as the discontinued Whiteline kit. |
