A built 440 Magnum with a six pack.
Sold it 37 years ago and can still remember the sound it made.

It was a beast.

You see that is where opinions differ. To me (and many others) the RB has been done to death and is not "exotic looking". There are other kits out there where you don't need to spend $15K to do it right, you don't have to mess with huge tires to make it look proper, you can maintain the diving characteristics of the car and still make it look special.

Fair enough. You made it pretty clear that you wanted to maintain the car as a reliable DD and tires wide enough to look right on RB will impact mileage, reduce reliability, slow you down and increase costs. To take any advantage of them at all you need to bump power which makes the issues for a DD even greater. You are also diverting cash and time out of your real project car to make a car that 99.999% of the population already thinks is an exotic into something that a handful of people parked at a meet would appreciate.

So in other words leave the car stock and keep playing with my vehicle that as a toy gives a much bigger bang for my buck and let the wife have it, when the truck is done sound about right?

Sort of.
More like:
Look at less expensive and evasive options to make the car stand out with as little impact to drivability and reliability as possible and finish the project vehicle sooner and better.

You can "let the wife have it" anytime you wish and I am not sure how that came into this!
Oh... You meant the car. Nevermind.
