Go there and the relationship is done. You'll never recover... Abuse is abuse, and is destructive to everyone involved, but piles up over time for the victim. Gaslighting is one of the worst.

Sounds like there's growing up to do all around.

Was tongue in cheek.

Interestingly enough, the coworker who joked about that, has a fiancee who is currently in her second year of her Psychology PhD

Haven't really posted here in a while. It's been hella crazy life, so barely cleaning up the sale thread.

Update w my life.
- This year's 86EXPO ended successfully. Made over $600 in donation for Make-a-Wish charity.
- After crazy home hunting and other nightmare stuff, finally found a place & this weekend, will be moving.
- Wedding stuff is set and paid. I'm pretty sure there will be last min stuff need to buy, but not too worried.

I'm just hoping everything will slow down by end of this month...

Welcome back ......

CONGRATULATIONS on becoming a homeowner ........

Be sure your homeowners insurance is in place.

I suggest you change all the locks on the outside doors and re-program the electric garage opener (if it has one).

Thanks, I've changed the locks. Bought smart locks, so I can open without key.

Insurance is done & Judy finished installing new smoke detectors on all 3 floors. Fiancé is currently resetting pin for the garage. After this, we gonna replace all the light bulbs w LED to help save power. I've ordered Nest & should be coming in next week.

Did I miss anything else?

Not sure how safe it is. But my fiancé's fam have been using same kind for a long time, but never had any problem. I think, it's equally safe as normal locks.

Is your new property a condo or duplex or a house .... ??

If there is a condo or HOA (Home Owners Association), I suggest you contact the associations president and introduce yourself and obtain a copy of the last homeowners/condo association meeting minutes (you don't want any pending association dues or levies sneaking up on you). Also, obtain a copy of the CC&Rs.

I suggest you locate the main gas and water and electrical panel, to be able to shut off in case of an emergency. The water shutoff is usually under the house or in a closet (nothing like trying to find the water shutoff quickly if something starts leaking).

NOW, your new wife will want it painted on the inside, all new furniture and all new window coverings......

So, just sit back, relax and enjoy your new home .......
