You had me at first but I feel more sorry for them than you now.

I am five days into my work week, since moving in.

My duties include cleaning up whatever mess I make, and not leaving it for someone else.

I cook, I clean, but when I wake up at 530am and leave at 6am, and manage to clean up after myself, them waking up at 6, leaving at 745 and not cleaning, there's quite a disparity.

In the old US Army, at least, during basic training, 40 men shared a two story "T" building. Twenty bunks up and 20 bunks down with showers and a latrine at the end.

In the building, no one outranked anyone else.

The quarters were always dress-right-dress and spotless.

From what I recall, lots of yelling, in addition to many threats of physical violence upon recruits. Not sure I can get away with that there.

Though, after shooting the shit with a coworker, he's given me the idea of gaslighting my girlfriend at the least, with the roommate as a stretch goal.
