Borrow Your FRS/86/BRZ for One Week?

I've had plenty of seat time with a close friend's ND Miata and as of right now that's the front-runner for my next car. I've had very limited time with an 86 though, and I don't want to pass it up just because I've never had extended time with one. I love how they look and feel like they're a more practical option but I don't want to buy one without being sure it's something I'll enjoy every time I get in it.

I've tried test driving one at a dealership but there's only so much you can get from that short of an experience. Toyota has rental program, but the closest participating dealer hasn't replied to my inquiries.

Is anyone willing to let me borrow theirs for one week or even just a few days? If so, PM me and let's work out the details!

Really? It is a huge thing, people earning extra money anyway they can. The company has a huge insurance policy incase the renters screw things up.

Hello username86 and welcome to our forum.

I drove an NC miata for 8 years and 88,000 miles before I got my FR-S, 4 years ago.

If you like driving a miata, you will like driving an 86. The main difference is that the 86 has a bit more room ........ however, the Miata's top will go down.

Both cars drive about the same.

IMHO, you don't really need an extended time behind the wheel to decide.
