Manufacturers always charge extra for body-colored mirrors. Painting them back to black for the sake of modding is ... whatever just a personal choice. Actually, looks good! But it is funny too.

Flex-Fuel prep work. Mounted sensor and control box, ran electrical. Fuel lines will come tomorrow with the reflash.

Took my dad out for a drive in Coal Creek Canyon today. He's a believer now - he actually prefers it to his brand-new Audi TT-S!

I was prepped to buy a Hellcat tomorrow (trading in the BRZ), but I think I've changed my mind. This is a fun little car...

Well I picked up a new to me 2014 BRZ limited (Black) with low miles.


Mods already done by previous owner
-Shark fin antenna
-Sound Generator Delete
-new reverse light/blinking brake light (not sure of brand)
-side markers (not sure of brand)
-gruppe-s UEL header and overpipe
-invidia resonated front pipe
-Perrin 3 inch cat back
-Perrin drop in filter Suspension
-tein Flex Z coilovers
-adjustable rear lower control arms Style
-enkei 18x9.5 inch RPF1 wheels in matte bronze
-carbon creations vented cf hood
-vis cf trunk
-Valenti smoked taillights




Mods I accomplished in last week
-Backup camera installed (got it from Amazon $150 for camera and harness)
-changed startup screen on the stereo to custom picture
-Hood/trunk went to paint, will be matching black, hope to get it back this week




Near future mods
-arm rest
-stereo speaker upgrade
-trunk has no Subaru emblem, will most likely get a lighted one
-been thinking about back seat delete kit
-changing dash lights to blue/white
-painting calipers and probably some parts of the engine

I'm not entirely convinced I did it right. Took a blowdryer to each side for about two or three minutes, then took some floss to the lettering. If the adhesive is still warm, you can actually pick it off with your nails and to me that's a LOT cleaner ultimately than using goo gone. If the adhesive cools down, just reapply blow dryer to it to soften it back up again, and to me it felt like I got better results than using goo gone on the remainder to the point where I ended up spreading the adhesive a bit.

Maybe I used the goo gone incorrectly, though. That's also a definite possibility.
