Engine knock
I was wondering if any one has had any problems running 91 and getting spark nock? I have seen the threads of people with fuel pump and issues.
Thanks |

I have run as low (in desperation) as 87 with no discernible knock. Running 91 would not harm your fuel pump or cause any other issues.

Few of the locals said they noticed it a few times. Would nock a little then run fine a while later. We only have 91 out hear unless you mix a little 100 in to make 93. I was wondering if maybe they got a bad tank most of them fill up at top places. If it's 109f out side that wouldn't be enough to have it nock would it? Or cause an injector problem ?

What about bad gas or is that just another thing of the past as well? |

There is one thing that I notice regularly. During a period of steady highway driving I can predictably get tip-in knock by stabbing the throttle after engine braking(fuel cut). I've learned to just ease into the throttle to prevent it. I'm sure there's nothing wrong or special about my car. It's just normal.
