You can sign up at autocross.com which is the website for Equipe Rapide. All the usual twins should be out there. Brandon, Sam, Brian and myself(David) should be out there. Just look for the red or orange brz/frs and we will gladly help you get setup to run at the event.

It sure is. The course map has been posted and they are setting it up a bit different from all other events I've done out there. Here it is below, looks fast straightish start then slalom back to the finish.

COTA was amazing, fun was had by all. I put down my best time in the last lap of the last session, managing to just barely break into the 40's with a 2:49.9 I had a little bit of traffic on the lap which definitely cost me some time, but I guess that's just all the more reason to go back.

110 on the straights, nice! Wish I could have made that one. The Cresson 1.3 was fun last weekend, but not nearly as fast.

COTA is my favorite track now, my order of preference is: COTA>TWS>MSR-C 1.3>MSR-C CW>MSR-C CCW I'm doing the MSR-C 3.1 on 9/9, I think that will slot in above the 1.3 and possibly compete with TWS (I'm leaving TWS in second though even if it's close). It's hard to imagine a better track than COTA. |

Good thing we don't have Autocross or Track this weekend, with everybody panicking about fuel shortages and making a run on the gas stations, creating the very problem they're trying to avoid. Good time to chill at the house this weekend!

Here is my last session from the COTA TNiA event on 8/30/17. My fastest lap was a 2.49.75 per Harry's Lap Timer. None of us really got "clean" laps as there was a ton of people on course during each group. The video below is the 3rd session and you can see me catch a Ford Focus RS in the switchbacks after the front straight.

I wish that we'd grouped up for the last session. The three of us plus Cameron would have been a pretty epic convoy. There was also less traffic up front. I'm not sure if my CEL limited my top speeds, some people claim that it does and when it was on at TWS I went slower in the front straight but there was also a healthy headwind that could have been to blame that day. At most I was 3-5mph slower at the end of the straight than some of the videos of twins I've watched (entry speeds and lines looked the same, but it could have been me over driving the corner before the straight). 5 Star Subaru of Grapevine replaced all 4 coils, the wiring harness, and 2 injectors (they broke one of the injectors during the coil job, so they did both on that side) all under warranty for no cost. It was such an epic day.

Looks like they've bot the Spec 86 car at nationals:
Sealed Koni Shocks Eibach Springs Eibach Swaybars front and rear SPC camber bolts up front (guessing on this one) SPC adjustable rear lower control arms Tire Rack 17x8 Wheels Hankook RS4 in 225/45/17 No word yet on any power mods, but the sponsor decals don't have anyone that'd fit the bill. I'm guessing that there aren't any, except the standard Street cat-back and drop in filter allowance. Looks like a pretty economical and fun setup (probably cheaper than CS/DS). Since TireRack is a title sponsor, I dug around to find the parts that will most likely be in the spec kit (maybe they'll bundle them all together): Shocks and Springs looks like around $1000 SPC Camber Bolts $24 Eibach Sway Bars $515 TR Motorsport Wheels $676 Hankook RS4 (225/45/17) $533 SPC Adjustable Rear Lower Control Arms $313 All in looks like just over $3k ($3061), throw in a turndown style straight pipe catback and allignment+corner balance and you can set up the whole thing from scratch for $3500-$4000. |

I don't see the need for the LCA's and toe arms as they are not event mandatory in STX. This also proves that we can do both LCA's and adjustable toe arms in STX. This has pretty much always been the case we just read the rules to literal or not literal enough. I cant see many of us STX guys going back to this new spec class. I know I will not do it. The car is to much fun in STX trim right now.
