Get it into your brain that dealerships mark up parts and are more expensive.
Pick any part, and it's more expensive at the Japanese car than the OEM online vendor.

You are convinced of some worldwide parts conspiracy that just does not exist.

What the heck? Where can I get an axle replacement?

Thanks so much!

edit: well i found them on the OEM website but I have to laugh at the prices lol 350.00.. the thing is nearly identical to one off of my work car that costs about 79.99.. lmao
To me, $350 is a totally normal price. Those never break for more than 99% of the owners anyway. If you don't like it, get rid of your car and drive the Mustang. And tell us how you like it.

You have 2 options, getting raped for OE parts at the dealership or getting cheap junk at Autozone.

The threads like this remind me of the biggest peeve of a friend of mine that owns a tire shop. People come in with a performance car that has $700 a piece tires on it and they expect to replace them with $50 tires.

Do your homework before buying a car.

NOW it makes sense. He works with cars. Detailer maybe? I thought it was just a photochop, but he's just carrying around a piece of paper in his pocket waiting for a chance to vacuum out the next sports car.

Fucking liar.

5-star thread, educational and funny! The twins are some of the most affordable and reliable sports cars in the market currently. Anyone who complains about how much it costs to keep the car running probably hasn't owned many other sports cars. Gotta pay to play

A lot faster

@ everyone bellyaching --- I mean if someone unknowingly posts something that's so upsetting.. why not just ignore it.. seems like an easier way to save yourself the trouble

Also yeah, its interesting to see how expensive parts are for say BMW and Porsche. I would have to say there is a limit though to where you are paying more for the fact that it is a Porsche than say the quality of the part.

Just because something is super expensive doesn't mean its super better. Scarcity plays a big role. Which is probably why parts are expensive for this car. Because toyota/sube knows they can get so much for them. Which should bother you a little bit, I mean its like sorta being taken advantage of isnt it lol. Just my opinion.

Hey guys...I paid for a high mileage warranty to try and avoid a big loss on repairs, but I think I'll take a big loss on a trade in (including the warranty) because I don't want to use the warranty. This is based on my lack of ability using Google, and misinformation from internet trolls.

Who's with me?!?!?!

*(I'm typically less of an asshole...but cmon)

Same boat.. I could have gotten a set of wheels and tires for the price I paid for that damn extended warranty. Oh well what can we do.. 😕

Yes, I do work with cars. Mine.
It's called my garage, you hallucinatory brain damaged Anime manboy with a grenaded ricer engine.
The BRZ does not stay in there, only the German cars do.
So, when I needed to clean the rusty bolts on the BRZ, I switched the BRZ into the work space.

Do your homework before buying a car.
Learn to read before posting in a thread.

No one is saying they want to put crappy $50 parts on a car. If you learned to read, you'd see we are only talking about OEM parts and how to obtain them. However, OEM is not available except in the dealership, which marks up prices. No, you missed the entire point. Genuine "BMW", Genuine "Porsche", Geuine "Audi" parts are also priced at full markup. The difference, however, as I've stated repeatedly, is that with Euro cars, you have the option of buying the OE part with the original brand that has nothing to do with thew car brand. With Japanese cars, you can either buy Genuine "Toyota" or some 3rd party junk from Autozone/RockAuto. There is no middle ground. ie: You can not buy a Mitsubishi alternator or Makishinto brake pads. If you think Toyota is selling Mitsubishi alternators with their "Toyota" logo on it at cost, you are very clueless.

Do you get it now?
