OK, folks, we are off for the weekend ....no grandkids ....... adult weekend ....

I've set a course for Lewis County, to explore the pioneer and Indian history of Chehalis and the surrounding area.

I've read that the Chehalis Indian tribes never signed a piece treaty with the United States Government ....... I do hope they are not on the warpath this weekend.

The locals say that they quit scalping the white eyes during raids, when they discovered that they could scalp them one hair at a time in the Lucky Eagle Casino .....

Yep, got my FR-S all spiffed up and the new GPS seems to be working good, to get us safely through the Indian Territory.

Sold some computer stuff on Reddit a couple weeks ago. One of the buyers messaged me being super accusatory that I didn't include everything with the power supply I sold to him, told me there was a bent pin on the mobo I sent him and demanded me to buy some new cables and ship them ASAP.

In fairness I did forget to send the power cable for the PSU, and had messaged him the day after I sent it about if he wanted me to send him a new one off Amazon.

But his real issue was me not including the 6 PCIe cables, and I only sent 3. I guess he didn't realize that the PSU having 6 PCIe connections means 2 connectors on 3 cables? I'm also 90% certain that he bent the pin on the USB 3.0 header, since I had it disconnected in my build anyways.

This has taught me a lesson. Never shipping anything ever again. Only local meetups.

That's really cool! What did you do with the hole in the roof?

I put a plastic plug in it. I will take some pictures for you tomorrow. It's not the nicest solution but for 15€ (~18$) you can't do it any better

Awesome, I'd really like to see how that looks.

I'm seriously considering an antenna delete. They've stopped most of the FM radio in Norway, replaced it with some stupid digital radio that no one else uses (DAB+) and Toyota's offered "solution" is to glue a small gadget to the dash, plug it into the power outlet and the AUX, and tape an antenna to the inside of the windshield. Since I like my cockpit uncluttered and never listen to radio, I'm not tempted.

I think my car will look better without the antenna (I'm not starting that debate again, it's a matter of taste) and removing it will also fix one of the annoyances of driving in Germany... they have FM/RDS traffic announcements constantly breaking through my MP3 playback suddenly screaming things like "ACHTUNG!!! HÄSSLICHER UNFALL AUF DER AUTOBAHN DREI SÜD, BITTE ACHTEN SIE AUF DIE WARTESCHLANGE!!!" and since I don't really understand German I don't need that, either.

When I got in my car to meet a friend for lunch today, I noticed the TPMS light was on. Got back out and checked, then noticed a nail in one of the tires. Not a big deal, figured I just ran over it on the way home last night, and there is new house construction nearby. Took the tire off and went to a local shop after lunch (who managed to not seat the tire correctly after patching it and is now holding on to it until Monday when they have time to re-seal and balance it, but that's a different story).

Once I finally did get home again, I was talking to a neighbor who has had six nails in her tires over the past week. That seems a little too coincidental, and like a bit too much bad luck. Planning to leave the porch light on and will look into getting a camera if it happens again. For now, though, to the booze! (because on the slim chance that someone is vandalizing cars, a 6'1" drunk Irish/Italian is totally a thing that should happen)

There are plenty of those around here, too. I'd call up a few coworkers, but they don't like any of the sissy booze I have.
