Up until about 2 years ago we used a video from 1976. About half of the things you were told to do or were OK would now be precisely the opposite. Does anybody even use the word 'ogle' anymore?

It does appear to represent the Kerguelen Islands, or as most maps off the world put it, "where we put the the list of locations labeled by number."

Knew a guy in high school named Olly Nogle.

Went down to Ontario Or. for the eclipse and stayed with my nephew for a few days.
A bucket list thing and chance for a road trip. The dimming and occultation was interesting.
Nephew had official glasses and I made a camera obscura out out of a pizza roll box he had laying around.
None of the pictures turned out well, but it was clearly visible/invisible depending on philosophical viewpoint.
During totality stars were visible.

Took a few drives around the area to see the sights.
Baker City to Oxbow Dam on the Snake river and back to Ontario, then down to the Owyhee Reservoir.
Very scenic and mostly clear roads on Saturday and Sunday though my nephew said he had never seen it so busy in town since he moved there.

On the way back I took a route over the Blue Mountains from North Powder - Unity - Heppner to avoid the crowds on I84.
The plan worked. Nobody in front of me all the way across on some very interesting roads.
I5 sucked hard though and I didn't get back home until 1:20am.
I pulled over to let someone past going through Bucoda and Tenino.
Think he might have been on fire or dead with a leadfoot on the accelerator or summat. No worries.

Probably blew it up by playing with his brake master or something like that. If I remember right he claimed to be some sort of "Engineer" but you would never have guessed it.
