I plasti-dipped my wheels. Copying a post I made on Reddit:
http://imgur.com/a/jWpKV

I was considering getting new wheels, but considering I already have a set of Enkei EKM3's in my garage with my winter tires on them, it seemed a waste to have a set of useless stock wheels just floating around in my garage taking up space.. I like the look of the wheels, but I'm not big on chrome or polished stuff on my car. I priced out having them powder coated, and it's really not cheap, plus the expense of having the tires unmounted then remounted. So I picked up some plasti-dip. I took the wheel off, cleaned the hell out of it with liberal amounts of 409 and some steel wool. I ended up doing 4 coats of flat black. I bought metallizer, but I didn't like the way it looked when I did my mock up. I'll see what it looks like in a month or so, but I'm hoping that this will last for somewhere around 6+ months at a shot, I can just re-do it when I switch back to my all season tires every spring.

That looks good. I've thought about doing that, but usually me + plasti dip = 3 or 4 attempts before I'm happy with it and I've been too lazy to try, lol.

Oh man... Don't let that stay on too long before redoing it. I put 5 coats on my '13 and had it on for about a year. What may seem like even coats doesn't really get in between the spokes very well. It was super hard to get my wheels clean before selling the car. Had that experience twice on those wheels no matter how hard I tried to get a lot between the spokes. YMMV.

How are you liking them? Being catted, do they still make the exhaust noticeably louder? Getting a tune? Feel a difference with the butt dyno?

Louder: Maybe. I don't think so, though. The tone/rhythm have definitely changed.

Butt dyno: It's better. It's still not a "fast" car, obviously. But I do feel that it's a bit more spritely.

Tuning: I'm still planning on an OpenFlash Tablet. Probably looking to do that next month.

I'm really loving how the car sounds right now. I'm gonna go for a drive. Be right back.
