It was in Brampton, Im not surprised this is the exact behavior by half of the stancenation "car enthusiast" in Brampton.

which lead me to sell my Sard wing, getting a really quiet exhaust. most of the time im driving defensively in Brampton, It getting to the point where its really annoying.

Haha oh yeah, I used to work at Brampton Civic Hospital, drove there from North York. I knew as soon as I crossed into Brampton by the amount of shitty drivers around me.

Compared to the Toyota Econobox (2002 Camry V6) that I used to drive, I do notice that the 86 is definitely attracting much more attention, be that positive or negative -- don't really understand the mindset of minivan and SUV drivers who will refuse to let me merge into their lane when the both of us are slightly below the speed limit (55 in a 60 km/h zone).

Earlier this morning when I was trying to get onto the 403, going at 55 as previously mentioned, this Dodge Caravan starts pumping up to 80 km/h so that I have to slowly merge behind, and of course the van drops to 40 km/h to "safely" make the turning ramp.

Then later on Highway 7, again both of us going at 55 in a 60 zone, this Buick Enclave does a lane switch with no indicators whatsoever with maybe about 50cm away from my front bumper. I tap the brakes, then barely a couple minutes later the Enclave pulls the exact same stunt again to avoid a bus departing from the bus stop. Less than a metre away, no indicators.

I am not an aggressive driver (15+ years of driving with zero tickets / offenses) but this does upset me quite a bit. I downshifted, switched over to the second lane, and abruptly cut off in front of the Enclave in a similar manner. I notice that the driver -- an old man with his wife -- is not at all happy with what I did, so he again switches onto the second lane. The lights turned red and both of us came to a halt. He glares me in the eye from the side, so I opened my window and yelled "INDICATORS, HEARD OF THEM?"

Suppose he really did not want to hear that. He threw a few colorful profanities and disappeared making a right turn (didn't seem like he was planning that turn before making those colorful comments, though).

Makes me wonder what makes the car such a moron magnet?

Jealousy. They hate what they can't have.

This is why I am an aggressive driver. Because people drive passive agressive so you're better off just getting ahead. Sure once in awhile there is someone who has a faster car and/or drives more agressively but then you have a bunny so it's all good. Anyway might as well enjoy yourself now before it's all automated.

Not exactly how that helps but I guess it would be calming.

So this has happened a few times recently, let me know your experiences (I imagine it's becoming common). I usually nail it off the line on green, mainly to hear my exhaust. I have had SUVs with small displacement turbos fffffffshhh'ing (edit: sounds like someone who can't whistle trying their hardest to) next to me trying to get in front of me. It's like you can't even hear the exhaust, just the engine going "I think I can, I think I can". One of them was even attempting this in a lane that had to merge. I had to back off and let them in because they didn't have the engine to get in front or the brains to fall in line.
