Nice shots man. I dig the back to basics theme; looks like you just want to focus on becoming a better driver which I can relate to. How are the stock shocks on the RCE Yellows holding up to the abuse? And what are your alignment specs with the cascam plates?

my philosophy is that we don't need a whole lot of expensive mods, or the best coilovers to have fun on the track or autocross. I want to take the approach of making the best of what I have and work on Driver Mod, which I need a lot of. I actually have no camber plate. my suspension set up is very cheap and straight forward, RCE Yellow I bough used for $200, and $20 camber bolts. and that is all. I inspect them regularly, no issue with the spring so far. -2f -1.5r 0 toe up front a tiny little toe in rear thats what the guy at @Racecomp Engineering recommended for me.

a couple reasons:
- I dont like the attention it brought along driving on the street - I needed cash for new tire - I started to hate how it look at a certain angle of my car

Came in Second overall in my class, competing with car equipped with coilovers, and tuned.
Recent I took off my header and tune, so I'm back to 100% stock engine however because of the RCE Spring I am still remained in A Mod class. I feel like the under dog here compared to everyone else with better set up car hahaha It look like I came in first but one of the Miata guy who is like Takumi Fujiwara in real life take first place with 5 sec faster than me. The organizer made a mistake and place him in A Stock PS: the HKS Coilovers I bough is still up for sale. someone buy it please lol so I can send myself on a fancy vacation! ![]() ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

![]() Can you please tell why were you considering 245s? Are you going to install on your 17x8 wheels? I am asking since I was also thinking about 245s vs current 225s for my 17x8 Konig Hypergram wheels. |

However all that have changed, I sold my JDL UEL and OFT last week. I just sold my HKS Coilovers. I am back to Stock, and for a stock power car 225 width is plenty for our chassis, the car is very agile on it feet and easy to control at the limit. I would recommend a 225s in your case, 8 inch is a little narrow for a 245s tires. I was going to put the 245s on my RPF1 which is 9 inches. plus 225 will weight less as well. so its a Win Win in my book. hope that help

Coilovers are sold and I was packing them up nicely for the new owner. Too bad I have never got a chance to try them out and they just been sitting in my room for 6 months.
But they're going to a good home where it will be put to use on track! Planning to do more track day and seat time with all the extra cash ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Do you have any experience with 225s on stock 7 inch wide wheels? Stock class only allows stock width wheels, right?

Excuse the poop iPhone photo.
Just want to give an update/feedback on the car. It has been 2 weeks since I took my header/tune off. Some may say I'm going backward. However I find the car is a blast to drive, I did get a chance to push the limit at Autocross and the car was so much easier to control at the limit, I've had the header for so long I forgot that the stock powerband is so much smoother. I felt like the car balance have been restored. I actually love how it drives being Stock compare to a header and a tune. Balanced, Easy to Rotate, Very smooth rev. Better gas economy and best of it all is how much more quiet it is, I can actually rev it out on the street without attracting so much attention to myself. Lesson here is: Simple is best ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
