Hi everyone. I've had my blue 2013 Scion FR-S for about 2-1/2 years now. When I bought it, it had less than 9,000 miles on it, was in near-new condition and the previous owner installed a JVC head unit.
This is my first "fun" car I've ever owned; previously I've had crappy and/or practical vehicles. I love to drive my car! It's fun every time. Never gets old. But I am looking to upgrade the sound system in my ride as well as do some sound deadening. A turbo kit would be awesome, but expensive and not something I'm capable of doing myself. I've Googled a lot when I need info about my FR-S and usually pull up posts from this forum. I figured it's about time to join up.

Hi Everyone, Andrea from Milan - Italy,
proud owner of a orange gt86 since 2013, not many deviations from stock on mine: wheels (Weds SA10R 17"), tyres (yokohama Ad08r) brake cables (Goodridge) and brake fluid (castrol SRF), that's about it. next step: coilovers (very hard choice to make) It's my daily driver, but I enjoy bringing it to Vallelunga every once in a while. the gt86 in in Italy initially came with a bonus track day + instructors from Toyota, so many of the earliest adopters developed interest in bringing it to the track. Any other girls here? (just kidding, Andrea is a male name in my country... :-) |

Hey I've been reading up on this car doing my research and I'm pretty sure I'll be in one by next summer. I have a 99 sport miata right now with i/h/e and coilovers with a stiffened chassis, light slotted rotors and wheels, sway bars, roll bar and I've taken 186lbs off the car. I've had it for five years now and it's been a fun dd being 2,200lbs with 145whp na but I'm ready for a newer car with similar characteristics. I figure and frs or brz with 190whp will be just what I'm looking for. Along with some decent springs or coilovers and light wheels.

Greetings and salutations. I'm a soon-to-be FR-S owner, still trying to decide on if I'm going with the 2014 Monogram edition, or the 2015 standard. Kinda torn between the extra bells and whistles of the Mono, and the "freshness" (for lack of better word) of a more recent model year.

Hey everyone! I live in SoCal, and I don't drive an 86 yet but I would definitely love for it to be my next car.
I'd like to ask for some advice as well. I currently am surviving off of a beat-up '04 Corolla. The SoCal area has this relatively unknown program called Replace Your Ride in which you basically can trade-in an older gasoline car for something more fuel efficient, and you get extra incentive money on top of a base amount if you get a hybrid or electric. Long story short, I went through the process and was able to upgrade to a '14 Camry Hybrid, but I don't even have it yet, as I need to wait for the state gov't to approve the deal and send the funds (basically a $7K voucher) to the Toyota dealership. In the process of shopping though, I was able to test-drive a 2013 FR-S and absolutely loved it, however it was ineligible for a discount under the program and since I wanted to save money, I decided to let go of it and just get the hybrid. My current plan is to just drive the Camry for a year and then use it as a trade-in while hunting down a 860 Special Edition, but I've also read that a 2nd-gen is being planned. I know it's risky to speculate on a car that doesn't even exist yet, let alone the fact that we don't have any info about specs or even concept images. And I do like the 86 "MKI" in its final form. This is a difficult decision. |

Hey, I just put in an order for a 17' BRZ about two weeks ago. I have an 02 Turbo Miata that I drive for sport and 02 Impreza RS that I daily. The RS is getting old and I think the BRZ will be a great replacement. I ordered with the AT because traffic and I hope I dont regret it....
Now I wait til December.... |

For what it's worth, over in the "what price did you pay" thread, I posted my experience with a dealer up in NorCal (Sacramento) who sold me a manual 860 for $25500, which is pretty darn good. (actually cost me $26500, since I financed it, and you can either get the advantageous financing rate OR the $1K discount, but not both)
