0-60 is not the only measurement of performance, but if that is your primary measure, then yes, you are correct.

It's obviously not my primary measure otherwise I would have purchased a different car 🙄 Simply an example I'm using to put the '95% of the performance' argument (which is hilariously based on nothing as far as I can tell) to rest. Everyone here with an AT saying it's effectively equal performance - well, at least one performance metric says otherwise. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Considering an AT
Not a sample size of anything nitwit, a singular metric. Last I checked there is no general population of performance metrics rom which 'samples' can be drawn from. Also, still waiting on ONE example from the whole 'AT = 95% of MT performance' crowd... But sit there and snipe Captain - much easier to do!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

People can't chose it just because they like how it performs? There has to be some other reason for them to degrade themselves to the level of an AT? #MTFORLIFEYOUNLESSYOUHAVEPHYSICALISSUESOFCOURSE

I did it about 6 months into owning mine and I regret not doing it sooner. The clutch sits a lot lower like a normal car (mine is actually a little lower than I was previously used to) and without the assist spring it is no longer mushy. You could probably do both in like 30 minutes.

my 2 cents...while the experience with each trans is obviously a little different (not any better/worse) and from what I remember the gas pedal with the AT felt a little different from the MT mainly with how the car initially accelerates, you still get nearly the same general vehicle behavior with either trans...and though the AT does benchmark a little worse than the MT, you don't really feel the difference from daily driving since the trans is quite smooth & shifts quickly.
people on either side of the fence are enjoying the same thing...get the trans that makes you feel most comfortable & happy |

It is safe to assume that there is a much larger percentage of MTs than "normal" cars but my guess is that at best it is 50/50. It could be much lower though since all 5 dealers I have spoken with say they get 3 ATs in for every MT. The perceived number of MT vs AT on this forum is distorted since the people that post here tend to be the "enthusiasts" and have a bias toward MT. The reality is that for every person here there are a couple of hundred (at least) that just own the car because it is a nice looking, inexpensive coupe. The majority of that group are going to be AT owners.
