Yep, the first time I went there was in about 1970. At that time, it was just a small one dining room restaurant.

At that time, Cannery Row was interesting, but sort of depressing, since most of the canneries had shut down.

Glad you had a grand birthday get away!

In researching rear seat deletes, I've learned that wanting to get rid of the seats because something was spilled (usually beer), and the owner can't get the smell out, is surprisingly common.
