Good for us they should hold their value if they don't bring more! and the Toyota version is 41.5k before onroads.

Jesus that's a large price hike for the same car.

Yeah they seem to be holding value well in Australia anyway which is good. 2012 models still selling for more than $20k.

Thanks Dexter yes that is mine went to check it out. Wasn't ready yet still needed to be inspected though, I wanted to pick it up so bad today. Also my bank closed at 1pm and I had wedding to attend today. I was so excited that it came in but really bad timing. Is it Monday yet I can't stop thinking about haha.

It's my first manual car and I just learned the basics on 7/4 in my uncles Mazdaspeed 3. Rowing thru gears was a blast!

As far as manuals go, the BRZ is pretty easy to drive. It won't take you long to get used to it. Congrats on the car!

Haha yeah series panda is right. Even the side indicators near the wheel arch are white. I thought I'd have to change those. Perhaps Australia gets the JDM indicators etc by default, and US has some regulation that means they are changed to orange?

This is my homage to the TK-421 lotus...

Amber side markers are a North America thing. Rest of the world gets clear side markers, which look a lot cleaner especially on a white car. We (in North America) also do not get side turn signals. Your side markers are turn signals and do not light up with the headlights/parking lights, right? Ours only light up solid with the headlights/parking lights and do not blink, which makes it less safe when changing lanes. We also have a lot of stupid automotive lighting regulations, just backward compared to ROW...don't even get me started here.

Congrats on your new ride btw!

Went into the dealer yesterday morning, told em what I was looking for, bought it, and I ended up with it 6 hours later. Sold my Forester XT while I was waiting. A good day

Give it a couple weeks and you'll be very comfortable. Same happened to me earlier this year. I highly recommend doing short practices in your neighborhood (or a quiet one) where you can take your time and especially learn the bite point without dealing with idiots who honk.

I replaced my clutch spring with the MTEC one and it made the clutch so so so much better. Probably the best $30 you can spend on the car besides a tank of gas.

The weird thing for me is all these recommendations say it makes the clutch better, and I don't doubt the validity of them, but right now I don't have any issues with mine entirely stock; haven't removed the spring, haven't raised or lowered anything, etc.
