Ok,that makes more sense. If that's the case, you have to use a special spray to etch on raw metal surfaces. http://www.thermark.com/content/view/36/78/

Not quite sure how this stuff holds up to extreme heat though. Anyway, looks like he's got it figured out.

Drove over to Lime Rock Park to watch the IMSA practices and qualifying (headed back there in oh....6 hours), and I was parked a few rows back from this sibling. They were still there when I was leaving, which is when I took this shot.

So who's hanging out here from Canada?

Finished my second aluminum prototype today... it is damn near dead on... The height is lower than the first prototype which makes it look even better.

I'm going to find someone local that can tig weld the seams from the inside. This prototype could easily be the one but since I'm getting a text logo cut out of the cover I'm making at least one more. I will finish all my prototypes though to sell.

Lol, those were huge here in the early 80s. I had one on my 78 GTI. Didn't know they were still around.

Installed a dashcam after another SUV ran a red light and almost ruined my day... I happened to be going the same way (I was turning right on a green light when almost hit) and watched her run a second red light! Later I pulled up next to her and got her attention while stopped in traffic - she was totally indignant and claimed she did no such thing.

Recovered almost all the interior in my C5 with pieces from them. Did my whole interior for <$1000. Most of the big shops charging $10K+ to redo interiors in leather

Thanks! I'm getting rid of the red inside the cabin (my car is red), and this will go great with the top trim and ts armrests I ordered. I'm doing a 3 tone interior with retro seat covers in black and grey.
