Agreed. KA-T as in KA24DE turbo?

OP, I feel as though the hood is clashing a bit with the look you have going on. Seems a bit aggressive for the stock body. Front splitter on the way?

Yep. My first car was a '95 240 that I turbo'd.

I have a full Rexpeed CF lip kit waiting to be installed, the hood will be painted and only the vents will be left carbon.

I guess I failed to realize you were painting it. Should look good with the CF lip kit. One of the most well-executed builds on here. Everything screams quality.

Thanks for the kind words man, yeah I'm going with the painted hood for the less "tuner" look.

Hey Dan, the car is looking great, why didn't you get the trunk and hood painted together? Less danger of getting a colour mismatch.

Yeah that would have definitely saved me some money as well but the hood was kinda a last minute decision.

Now I'm trying to decide on what hood pins to use.

I'm thinking AeroCatch or Quik-Latch.

Quik-latch is like 3 times more expensive vs. AeroCatch for the locking ones but it does look sleek...

What do you guys think..?

I say quik-latch as it's less intrusive. The AeroCatch look too big, with the louvers in the hood there's too much going on.. too fussy in my eyes.

That's a bummer. That is something that always worries me with aftermarket panels. I have only had one hood in the past from Seibon but it fit OEM so hopefully it was just a bad one.

Yeah man, with these aftermarket hand laid CF pieces I don't think any two are the same and there will be fitment issues from time to time.

A little update though, I went back to Seibon and customer service is GREAT. They were even willing to open a few and test fit them to make sure I was completely happy. The 2nd one fits MUCH better, the carbon weave is beautiful.

Dropped off my car today at Prestige BodyWorks in Oxnard, they use top notch Glasurit paint, should have the hood done in 3 days. Stay tune.

Yeah that one looks a lot better.

As a side note, I really like those little white machined out sections on your wheels.

That's awesome! Should have had you test fit one for me! lol. Wonder how they handle issues when shipping is involved. Looks good man.

Haha, what Seibon told me was that they have two locations that produces these hoods. The first one had the mesh vents painted black which had fitment issues, the 2nd hood they pulled had vents that were left silver, it fits much better.

I guess my advise is to try and locate a hood with the silver mesh behind the vents, seems to come from the factory with better fitment.
