Oh yeah, I am planning on writing about that in my drive review/write-up. So miserable going 20mph on Mines sitting in 100 degree heat. Those were literally the slowest moving buses I've ever seen. Even on the straighter beginning section where the speed limit is like 45 they were only going 30!

lol, its the wide angle, makes it look faster than it is.
but at that junction, they were doing 25-30 in a 45. which is faster than when we were still on the hills |

No kiddin, I usually have my windows down so I can hear the sweet wooshy and poppy sounds from my car, but it was well into the triple digits at Del Puerto. The breeze felt like a hair dryer blowing at me. I wussed out, rolled my windows up and had the AC blasting.

I tried running mine when we were stuck behind those busses, but it hardly does anything. Even after running for 10+ minutes, it just blows cool air, never cold. So I usually just never run it.

Definitely had AC blasting when we met up with those buses. No point in roasting while the power's not needed.

With all that hot air in the east bay (I guess inland past east bay) it may be time for another Santa Cruz mountains run where it's cooler in the morning.

hey Greg when we set off from the observatory, we saw you headed back towards the Junction... I thought you were going to try going down the San Jose side to get to your other commitment sooner but went the wrong way. I gave chase trying to honk my horn and flash my lights but you were having too much of a good time going downhill LOL. Anyways after a while I gave up trying to get your attention and just enjoyed the chase haha. Guess you opted for the long cut back.
