Roadtrip

Took a nice trip to Rothbury, Michigan in the frs last week. A buddy and I with the back seat and trunk full of camping gear. What a fun ride. The car held up very well. Let my buddy take the wheel for a total of 9 hours and he couldn't stop talking about what an awesome car I had. I had my doubts at first taking her out there, but now I feel like ill drive her anywhere!

Nice, glad you had a great time. Encountered any fun roads? Tackled any roads you would like to visit again without a fully loaded trunk?

I recently went to Fort Ticonderoga in NY. I believe it was through the 74 and 22. Lots of hills, turns and fairly high speed. Never went past 3rd gear, I had a banana grin on the 45min to an hour drive from the 87 to the fort. Got there early in the evening, around 7. Went to my motel, started looking for places to eat and grabbed a bite. After I ate, I went back to my room, figured I have the entire evening and I'm basically in the middle of nowhere AFAIK. So I just went back towards the 87, then made my way back to my motel. Never had so much fun in a car before. Banana grin the entire time, high-revving. Not giving a damn. Came back to my hotel, exhausted went to sleep, went to the Fort, kept thinking about the road. Then headed back home, I took it once more then up north the 87 and crossed the border. I need to find more fun roads like this.

I have some highly recommended road trips. Waiting for the next long weekend to do them since they're several hours away.

People asked me when I came back from vacation how I liked the roads, I said they were awesome. They follow up asking about the scenery, all I could remember was trees and my banana grin. They thought I was weird for not appreciating the scenery.

I mean don't get me wrong. I play with my car a lot. Due to the high police presence on the highway I wasn't really messing around. A couple miles over the speed limit here and there. Ohio was no joke. Cops on every meridian opening. Still was a fun ride. As a regular trip though, the car surpassed all my expectations. Once we got back to the homeland of Interstate 84 in New York though......

The route we took was pretty much a straight line, especially through PA. The scenery was beautiful. Cool once you get into Ohio, Michigan area the speed limit goes to 70 which makes for some very nice cruising. There are plenty of fun roads in my local area though! I save the fun for there where I know what the roads like and what to expect. Didn't want to have an accident in a state where I knew nobody or where to go if something were to happen.
