Didn't do, so much as noticed....

The headlights have officially started "fogging up" on the upper portion (doesn't show in a photo. You would think that after 20 years they would have figured this problem out. It's a couple patches on both headlights about the size of a couple of quarters.

Wow. This car has taken on an "El Rey" level of detail you just don't see anymore. Great job.

"El Rey" is a lowrider car that was built with such crazy attention to detail that it has become legen (wait for it) dary in car club circuits. The builders went as far as to paint the underside of the car with the same care as the top, even engraving the brake discs and calipers.

I can appreciate it as a work of art, but when that much detail and care goes into something it feels somehow wrong to drive it and essentially ruin that work. As a show car, wonderful. Could not go to that level with something I want to daily or even occasional.

That's why it has ridiculous low miles and gets trailered to shows... Beautiful weekend fun car, hobby car, and show car... that's what my 86 is to me. Since I'm the artist type... I'll call it my canvas. I have a paid off daily I drive.

That was my exact reaction...

Beautiful work of art...is no longer a car.

If you put that much time into the detail it also means you probably have no qualms about driving it and fixing anything that gets messed up.
