My bad, that was 40 minutes to travel 2 miles. While sitting in that 2 miles of traffic, I watched my average mpg go from 33.8 down to 30.6 mpg, and my coolant temp fluctuate from 190* to 211* to 190* and repeat.

How's your mileage that high though? From the 100 octane?

No, octane won't affect mileage. Also that onboard mpg calculator is not really that accurate. But still lol at 30-36. The most mine has ever said is 24.

Only way to actually know true mpg is to do the math, as far as I know.

Not seeing any mpg difference with the 101 octane.

Oh, I wasn't referencing the onboard meter. I was referencing my Scan Gauge II, which I purposely calibrated to read 2 to 3 mpg lower than what the OEM meter reads (so my real mpg is in the middle of the two). It makes me drive more efficiently. HAHA.

The most mine has ever said for a fill up was like 44 or 45 mpg. My calculated for that tank was 41.4 mpg. That was back when I lived in Union City and was getting 37 to 40 mpg tank averages.

LOL. I make fun of my coworker all the time with left turn jokes since he loves Nascar. I think they have 3 times in the year that they do right turns???
