I'm still here. Trolling, meaning? How am I trolling? Dude admitted driving mistakes, I addressed them and if he can't handle a proper sports car then provided perfect alternatives, and if he wishes to pursue his ambition to have a FR-S/BR-Z then consider his capabilities. What is trolling in that?? |

You weren't. Never said that but with the leaking over from a following post, we met again with a negative demeanor. In this post, the individual seems to lack experiences (note I didn't say experience as situations encountered teach most imo and I've had my fair share of hand shakes with the skeletal individual) and that is important to determine true experience.

Yep. Apparently asking how a different car would have changed the situation was an unreasonable question.
Pointing out that Subaru only assembles the car not makes the parts (different thread) is apparently "stupid" and makes me some sort of stalker. I am a horrible person and nobody likes me but at least this time I haven't received a PM inviting me to come and fight (yet). We get an honest and reasonable new guy and he gets the crap kicked out of him for no reason. I am not ok with that and will say so.

Funny how you complained about derailing on another thread but have now posted about 6 times about my being "bothered". I simply disagreed with your comment about a different car being more appropriate I was not "bothered" by it. The good news is that now everybody is distracted from ragging on the OP.

Just because we have the same cars does not make us buddies. Besides even if we were family then people disagree. Well they do in mine at any rate. Oh god the stories. Maybe we need. Humfrz back in the day story right about now. I am just going to keep thinking up sentences until people forget the topic of this thread and leave the OP alone. Unless of course they have something constructive to add that hasn't been said. Actually even if it has been said it is still constructive and better than the abuse he was subjected to. Wow I am running out of things to drag this one. I can't be at a loss for words it just doesn't happen. Come on Humfrz I need a story. Stat!

@humfrz, we need a diversionary story, ASAP.
Anyways, derailing threads is my job. It says so under my name. Actually @FryinBerries, I have a stupid driver story of my own. I'm sure most of us have at least one. God knows I have several. I was going to pick up a friend of mine because he needed a ride to work one day. We took my wife's car for I don't remember what reason, but I was driving and she was in the passenger seat. Anyways, this was when I lived in another high desert area that isn't Vegas. It had just rained the night prior, and if you're familiar with high desert, that means it flooded. The soil is so parched that it doesn't absorb water; it just washes away. Most of the water had managed to drain or dry up, but there were a few spots. I was waiting to turn left and getting pissed because traffic kept being timed just right to not let me turn. I figured, I'm in a WRX, I got this. So there was a gap that wasn't big enough and I went for it hard, with my wife saying no as soon as I moved. Turns out that the side road had a cobblestone crosswalk that was still wet, and I couldn't see it because leaves had fallen over the water. My tires hit the leaves and it might as well have been a patch of black ice. We went straight into the curb and I trashed the front passenger suspension. The hub was snapped off the lower control arm and the wheel was shoved up into the wheel well. Anything worth doing is worth overdoing, right? That was 14? years ago now. Different cars, different wife, different desert, everything. I can't even say my driving has matured because of it, because I was convinced that if only I had done this differently or that differently, I'd have pulled it off. It's only been since about 2015 that I actually started to be a little more rational about my driving. I just got lucky a lot. TWSS Last edited by gramicci101; 06-24-2017 at 02:33 AM. |
