Are you going to be running any filters? Did you ever consider placing the port injectors outside and just above the inlet for better mixture at high rpm? Seeing as our motors already have direct injection in place that could take care of idling and low rpm useage. I could see the external injector placement helping on this setup.

If you move the injector you have to adjust all the timing as it will need to open sooner. The injectors of today are greatly improved vs the 1990s which were more like squirt guns. Atomization is not really a factor especially with a lower size CC injector like 600 vs 2500. I will figure out some type of screen or filter once that's completed for street usage to avoid rocks

I've been doing pedal dance for years on the track and for drifting but never actually paid attention to whether it improved the throttle delay. Had a chance to try it the other day on the street. Unfortunately, It doesn't significantly improve (or at all) the throttle delay. With pedal dance mode on, I can still slam the throttle and count a few clicks in my head before the throttle body actually moves. It's massively annoying and makes rev matching slower than it should be. I understand stand alone ECUs such as Hydra EMS and Motec eliminate this issue (as well as rev hang). I would totally use those solutions but then I would run into headaches for vehicle inspections (not to mention the adoption cost)... |

Toyota seems to be improving response on their new dynamic Force 2.5L engine... Not sure if it's all due to the engine design, or the electronics improved somewhat. Makes you wonder if tweaks can be made to improve on that delay.

Maybe I'm imagining it. Not above being wrong but especially in corners with pedal dance, the throttle feels much snappier. You know what?! I just started logging in earnest recently but I've only been looking at temps. I think I've seen both throttle plate and pedal position parameters. Duh! Maybe the tactrix logs are fast enough.

I have never really had an issue with the throttle in the car, maybe its just me. additionally if my clutch setup ever finishes we will see a 23lb flywheel PP and disc combo paired with a CF Driveshaft. So throttle response could be greatly improved.
