Custom Exhaust Fabricator in LA area?
Hoping to get a recommendation from you nice folks...I'm looking for an exhaust fabricator (not a Joe Smoe muffler shop) who can tig stainless properly. Can anyone recommend a shop? hopefully in the SGV somewhere but i'm open to drive anywhere in SoCal.
My default shop is too busy atm

Mike's muffler in El Monte has always reviewed quite well.

Thanks for the help. I've gone to Mike for over 15yrs but he's not the type of guy who can do nice tig work. He's a great guy and provide a good service at a fantastic price. He did all the exhaust work on my Chevelle but you can only do so much with a Mig welder.
I need a fabricator that can do this kind of work or at least something close. There's gotta be someone out there right? My normal go-to guy in San Pedro is too busy at the moment ![]()

You can try RACELINE Development in Temple City. Elton builds custom SCCA approved chromoly roll cages and has fabricated many custom, full stainless steel exhaust systems. He knows his stuff!

I was using http://fastintentions.com/ - still love them but they are always weeks out.
Now I use Mike at http://orangecountymuffler.com/ - His mandrel bending prices are cheaper the work guarenteed and there is rarely any wait to see him. My last exhaust I brought to him was 3inch mandrel bent I brought the muffler and the sport cat and he charged 300 for the stanless steel piping, fabrication and welding. we are also working on some custom stuff too

I appreciate everyone chiming in. I was finally able to find a very good fabricator, Efren Built. He understood the engineering involved, the design, and is an artist with metal and a tig. It was certainly worth the drive out to Ontario.
Boom Bop Shop in collaboration with Efren Built will be coming out with some very exciting (dyno proven) products for the FR-S and BRZ soon. Actually, I had to really convince them take time away from R&D time on their new exhaust and header for the BRZ so they can finish up my humble two-stage NSX exhaust project. They are fantastic and I don't go out of my way to write positive reviews often unless it's very much warranted. Here's a sampling of his work. The watermark is my attempt at some humor

I would recommend Beta Motorsports (http://www.betamotorsports.com/).
Many of the autocrossers/club racers swear by John's work. No nonsense performance and quality work. |
