BRZ Ts parts

But have they confirmed the pillowball rear joints and stiffer axles. If it's​ just the vbars and the draw stiffener it's not such an appealing package.

Did anyone that saw the Ts in person take a good look at the radio? In those pictures posted, it still looks to be the trapezoid shaped one, but the CD slot is gone...

Looks exactly like the '17. So it should be carried over.

Look at the picture again, the CD slot is missing, the right hand knob is lower, and the three buttons are lower/together.

Could be different? Toyota got rid of the cd slot on their head unit with the 2017. But why are you so focused on it? If anything itll still be shit. Subaru can't source a good head unit for the life of them.

Mostly curiosity. I like the idea of a stock Android auto/Apple car play option. But you are probably right on the quality...

True. I didn't know if the current head unit for 2017 had those features. But I can say we have a new Impreza and that thing was so bad it had to be recalled. It froze all the time; complete freeze too both the touchscreen and physical buttons would not do anything. And it was recalled because it prevented the back up camera from turning on. After the recall fix, it has frozen twice since so still terrible lol.

2017 head unit for the BRZ is pretty bad.

It's not unusable per se, but there are definitely times when it's a bit laggy or sucky. It also can't "multitask" audio (for me at least). Like if I want to listen to the radio and have my iPhone GPS instructions still piped into the cabin speakers.

I'll probably replace it after a year or two for something nicer.

I think that falls on the iPhone and the headunit.
I get music and GPS at the same time on my Android.

I mean using the regular, traditional AM radio.

Not radio through my phone.

I've heard that about the 2017 Impreza too, which is a shame. Hopefully another fix will come in time.

Maybe a true double din trim piece will be manufactured, or more 200mm wide units here in the states.

Anywho, back to topic. Have a set of STI motor/transmission mounts I'm looking forward to installing.

I'll have to try that and see if it works for me. I very rarely listen to FM/AM.

I know there's some apps that can get around the HU limitation for Android though.

Buying the tS is really for the parts that you can't readily see from the outside (i.e. flexible v-bars, flexible draw stiffeners, pillowball rear suspension joints, stiffer rear axles, different springs and shocks, etc).

True, but the cost of trying to get the looks part of the tS that came with the Series.Blue was a lot more than buying a Limited and adding the parts.

Shame the yen is so strong right now, importing parts is pricey...
