I'm not looking to argue about it, more wondering if there is more background info on sourcing said parts.

Yea of cuz not. I tried Googling this but haven't found anything yet.

I seemed to recall there was something about how OEM Brembo calipers were not made by Brembo and that they have no such models in their aftermarket catalog.

Brembo does make something very similar though. Same size rotor and everything. CSG sells them.

That said, I'd have no problem rocking calipers that said Sumitomo on them if they were substantially less than the ones that said Brembo. Paying more for a name is overrated.

You wouldn't be able to source them outside of the OEM. Rebranding is common among manufacturers and retailers and is a contract between them, which is why you wouldn't see brembo selling them independently. It's akin to the "Kirkland" brand of Costco. Same brand name producers but relabeled to be sold in their warehouses.

Looks like they are giving us half the GT package here.

Even for the WRX STI tS there were the standard trim and the NBR Challenge Pack trim.

Don't get so hung up on Recaros and Brembos. It's like shoes with Vibram outsoles, so much hype but the truth is you will end up slipping on the ground more compare to the non-branded rubber.

Well the recaros came standard on the 2015 tS though but meh

I would rather have a pair of Recaro Sportster CS than a carbon fiber wing but that's just me.

ç See my avatar. I’ve used the rear wing on my 2006 STi for everything from signing waivers & reading maps to using it as a dining table as well as a camera platform.

I got inspired by this thread and used one side of my rear spoiler to support my cup of Starbucks last night.

The Japanese tS had two trims, standard and GT. The recaros came on the GT trim.

Hope you wiped off any water from condensation (assuming it was a cold cup)!

For the 2013 yes, but the 2015 was one trim and had the recaros standard
