What kind of insurance rates can I expect?
I've heard much about high insurance prices, I am under 25 so I know that its going to be even higher for me, I wanted to know who else is under 25 and around what they pay.

just do yourself a favor and get multiple quotes.
unless the other person is a clone of you in your ZIP code with your exact credit/driving history/car/financial profile, the rates vary a lot. |

Honestly I don't think it's possible to get any kind of realistic estimate.
I was in the same position as you and learned how it all works. Basically it all depends on: zipcode/city/state, driving history, how long you've had a license before, what kind of car (pretty sure most places consider this car a sportscar, so that's an increase). You can get discounts for stuff like parents having the same plan, etc. |

When I was 22 I bought a 350z as a co-buyer with my dad and was paying $161 a month as a part time driver. Now at 23 I got the BRZ on my own and I am the only driver for it on the insurance and I'm paying $226 a month. I've had my license since I was 18 and got into 1 accident two months before buying the Z, but I was not at fault. A lady in a non-moving left turn only lane decided she wasn't gonna wait and jumped onto my lane as I was passing by, hitting me on the driver's door. Her insurance paid for the repairs and our rates weren't affected. I'm on the same policy as my parents and sister though, it might have been more expensive otherwise, not sure.

Some people don't want to keep paying their car payments and try to stage an accident/wreck/theft to claim insurance payout. |

Possibly. I just know that from reading an article not long ago. They didn't go into detail. Or maybe yours would have been lower with a higher credit score?

I am 22, have good credit and had my father co-sign for a better rate when I financed the car. I have one accident 6 years ago. I pay $600 a year with my dad listed as the primary driver. If I was the primary driver it would be a little over $1,200 a year. My deductible is $1,000. As far as insurance I was told that the following attributes of the car helped save me; only 200 hp, has great safety, and seats four. If these things actually helped on insurance I have no clue. But it was a lot less expensive then the Camaro I was thinking about getting. Hope that helps give you an idea!
