We took a drive today.

mrs humfrz screamed the first time, as we were exiting the subdivision ...... a big, black SUV was coming fast from the right ..... another big, black SUV was coming fast from the left ..... my trusty, white FR-S, quickly darted out between them ...... we didn't crash.

The second close call (according to mrs humfrz) was when I was turning off a two lane road onto a one lane road (shared at a "Y" by a wide "rails to trails" bike path ...... which looked wider than the little road. I was pointed toward the bike path, when I discovered that was wrong ...... so I "quickly" changed course. Yep, due to the quick, stable, steering of the FR-S and my lightning fast reflexes ....... we didn't crash.

So, the third crises was when I said to mrs humfrz that I was having a "bad seeing day", everything was kind of blurry and I was so sleepy I couldn't hardly keep my eyes open ........ as I drifted off to the edge of the country road ...... (I was jest ah messen wich her) ...... we didn't crash.

Who says that life ain't exciting when you get older ......

Hit a patch of loose gravel on a freshly paved road today on my way to work. Didn't even come close to crashing!

Took ma-ma a ride in our FR-S this afternoon. Just two incidences of flailing arms and legs ...... no screams. I guess I didn't push the car hard enough .....

Finally buttoned up the front end after installing the monster oil cooler. Took several laps up and down I-5 on full boil in third gear taking logs and adjusting the diverter valve. System works beautifully.

Did not crash.

I took a 160 mile road trip today and did not crash. Drove down to Tellico Plains, TN, then east on the Cherohala Skyway to 129N and back home via the Tail of the Dragon. Great drive on the skyway, no traffic, but the Dragon was crowded, got stuck behind a couple of slow cruisers.

Two people were killed on the Dragon on June 4th. http://www.knoxnews.com/story/news/l...eet/369340001/

I had knee surgery and had to be driven home in my FR-S by my 18-year old daughter. She can handle a stick, and is finally comfortable with the clutch in my car.

Did not crash!

Most likely safer than when you were driving your FR-S around having a blown out knee ......
