Delivery
hey guys, just wanted to get your thoughts. I placed an order for a Blue GTS auto on march 30th. I was given the tracking information pre-launch and advised september dleivery. This was quickly changed to october due to a rush of orders (apparently)
I have logged into the tracking system and it still says "to be scheduled for production" from what i can tell this will not be updated until 90 days from production, then there is about 6 weeks delivery time after this. If this is all true, does this mean i won't have my car until mid november? i would be interested to see what you guys think - i will be very displeased if this is the case and consider cancelling the order/ jsut buying the first colour that comes along |

2.5 weeks ago... someone pre-ordered but finance fell through. Right place, right time... so I ended up canning my other order which was meant to be OCT delivery. The car was built in May.

It's around 10 days on the docks and a week or so with a dealer depending on their back log of deliveries. |

I would speculate that if you ordered your car 2.5 months before the launch date and you dont get your car until nov, your dealer got some 'splaining to do. Either that or there were quite a few people who preordered way before you. A lot of guys who ordered when you did on these forums have their cars already or theyre coming in the new few weeks. Def sounds like a shafting.

by any chance did you go to a very popular dealer? otherwise yeah you might have been bumped down for them to secure more sales (or maybe some salespeople wanted the car upon the pricing being announced?) |

Dealers were not able to order anything until late May so you can't look at the three months leading up to that point as any measurement. That would just be putting you in the line. Chances are, there was no allocation that matched your order and you were fifth or sixth in line. At the end of the day September is still really good when people who ordered in June are getting factory orders arriving in December and beyond.
