A penguin was driving across the desert when smoke started coming out from under the hood and the engine started making funny noises.

So he pulled over and eventually got a tow to a local shop. While he was waiting he decided to head across the street to get some ice cream.

The mechanic came out to deliver the bad news about his car. With a big sigh, he said to the penguin "Well, it looks like you blew a seal."

The penguin laughed, wiped his beak and replied, "Nah, that's just ice cream."

Oof. Why is it so hard to choose between wheels you like and wheels that are equally light and strong, but cheaper... and you don't like as much? I need another set of 17x9's so I have a rain set / replacement when the current tires wear out... The cost difference is 2 tires worth.

Also, never calculate just how much you spend on tires at an autocross. Unless you need to tell a codriver how much they get to pay (or in my case, how much I value their coaching time...)

Nice day for a fancy brunch. I guess that puts the wheel/tire costs in perspective a little...

Hopefully I'll get the cabinet shell installed in my home theater after lunch. It might start looking finished one of these days!

Computer has started acting up too. It's mostly 2010 hardware... ok, so more perspective on wheels?

I'm out of random for the moment folks, carry on.

Sitting on the deck at the cottage watching the neighbours across the road wash their black Camaro using a kitchen broom as a scrub brush. I could hear it grating and thumping as he scrubbed.

Her - "there are scratches all over the hood"
Him - "that is strange I wonder where they came from. Stupid black cars".

They heard me laughing and looked over so I pretended to be talking to sombody inside.
