if you plan to track the car just use subaru super coolant, it has more coolant then other kind cuz our engine runs higher temp then other subaru cars.
*and an oil cooler is pretty much a must if you like to stay at redline. Last edited by chaoskaze; 06-02-2017 at 04:08 AM. |

I am pleasantly surprised actually. If you've been an exclusive manual person forever, I get the hate...it isn't a Porsche gearbox set up. However, for a more traditional auto, it's damn good, and much quicker shifts than I imagined. They are faster than I'll ever be for sure.
Down shifts aren't as smooth, but comparing it to a manual is pretty close in terms of timing, at least in road driving. I am sure on the track that would frustrate some. I'm not a racer, so it's not a big deal to me. It would have been nice if it matched up shifting performance though. I'd also like to say that the gated transitions on the stick to change modes was a nice touch. It ads a psychological bump up in performance feel. That was unexpected too, and made me smile. |

I don't know, probably not. It's not a big city. Plus the winter weather here goes crazy sometimes and I don't see many rear wheel drive cars.

I also have an AT so I'm realistic about the changes. Right now I am leaning towards a 4.88 final drive and a tune. I think I will be happy with the changes per $ for my use, since I'm happy with the car already. |

How about pickup trucks? See many of them? They are RWD as well and to top it off they are horribly front weight biased which makes them even harder to drive in the snow. Just because it snows does not mean nobody drives RWD.

Anyway, I asked because it's kind of close. For whatever reason Michigan subforum members on every board I've used, suck at meet ups and events. Cars, firearms, boats, you name it. It blows. I'm 41, live in the country, and own 3 Japanese cars about 45 minutes from Detroit...not exactly making car buddies out here. |

Need a new radio. No one can hear me on the hands free phone, I can't read the damn screen in the sun when I am wearing sunglasses, and the user interface is about as intuitive as a rubics cube. Speakers blow as well.
So far this and the temperature getting into the car after an hour or more of it being parked are my only complaints. Seriously, it's like a coal fired pizza oven in there. Must tint windows! |

Good price, not sure what KBB says or how demand is local to you, but I'd think $16-18k is probably closer to what that car would usually go for

My findings were in line with that. The MT's we found were in the high $17's with more miles. Only autos were in the $16's and at least double the miles. granted my search area was limited.

Topped off the coolant with the Subaru Super Blue, may get a new cap just in case there is a pressure loss on the old one.

The overflow tank is non pressurized, vented to atmosphere.
The cap only keeps dirt, bugs and mice out if they aren't overly motivated.
