Newest addition, HKS EL header, thanks to Kami Speed again for their excellent service and super fast shipping. Installation was very easy, everything was included.

Installation difficulty level: 3/10.

I heard the stock header is "slightly" unequal length, after installing the HKS EL header the engine and exhaust note seems sooo smooth, reminds me of my old K series RSX Type S and Civic Si.

In fact, revving it out I swear it sounds similar to my 05 RSX-S with a Fujitsubo PowerGetter and DC Race Header.

Unboxed

Comparison between stock and HKS EL

Little dab of anti-seize on the O2 sensor goes a long way. Ready to install.

Perfect fit, no leaks and sounds INSANE.

Thank you sir.

No dyno numbers yet, I'm waiting for Moto-East to refine my tune, then I'll be hitting the dyno and comparing the Moto-East, Delicious and standard CARB tune.

I haven't gone back to the alignment shop to get the final camber numbers yet.

If you're looking at the Enkei NT03+M's in the SBC finish, they're like a black chrome finish. In some lighting they look almost like a gloss black and some a brilliant chrome. It's an awesome coating.

Decided I needed to give the transmission some love.

Some Motul synthetic gear oil

Perrin large diameter shift knob, transmission support, and rear shift bushing.

MTEC shift springs.

Leftover stock parts after the install.

2017 JDM Traction control buttons in black while we're at it.

All buttoned up!

Installation was super simple, the hardest part was removing the Loctite from the bolt threads while installing the MTEC springs.

After everything was buttoned up, shifting feel has noticeably been improved. Every shift is more accurate, more precise. NVH has increased ever so slightly but barely at all.

Im my opinion, the stock shifter is pretty good from the factory, I rate it pretty high up my scale of shift levers I've used. With the new bushings and springs I actually prefer the shifting action in this car to my 07 S2000. S2000 being highly regarded as one of if not the best manual shifters of any car.

Shifting still feels a tiny bit notchy when cold but once everything is up to operating temperature, it's smooth like butter.

Perrin transmission support + rear shift bushing and MTEC springs comes out to around $100. I think it's probably the best $100 I've spent on this car so far, well worth it.

New project, removing the factory "battle axe" limited spoiler.

Had my trusted shop weld the holes left behind and refinished the trunk. Color match was perfect without the need to blend into my 1/4 panels.

Ordered a Five:AD lip spoiler and voila! Much better!

Loving all your mod choices.

I just picked my 2015 BRZ. I've wanted once since they came out but didn't want to spend the money on a new one.

Thanks bud, I appreciate it. The BRZ has been my absolute favorite car I've owned so far, and I've had 27 since getting my license.

I'm almost done with it exterior wise, just waiting for my Seibon TS Vented Carbon Hood before throwing on the Rexpeed lip kit.

Car looks great, love the mods!

I agree with you on the shifter related mods, they were the first things I swapped on my car.

Went to Seibon directly today to pick up my TS carbon hood. I have an appointment for Wednesday to drop off for paint.

Came home to do a test fit before taking it to the body shop. Seibon's carbon quality is amazing but fitment was pretty bad on this one. Hoping I just got a bad one, will call up Seibon tomorrow to do an exchange. Had to drive 5 hours round trip with traffic.

Check out the Youtube video of the driver side fitment,
looks like it's warped up.

Let us know how it goes with the exchange. Curious if they will swap it for another no questions asked, or give you some excuses.

Its a sign that you should keep the stock hood.
