Buying pre-owned with heavier wheels?

Hi Guys,

Does it matter or will there have been any degradation to the drivetrain/transmission on a BRZ that has been on:
(1) Vossen CV5 18 inch rims 27 lbs each!!!!
(2) on Dunlop LM704s

Ran like this for about 15,000 miles.

Its a preowned unit I plan to get but just worried if there are potentially problems due to driving with the much heavier wheels over that mileage.

I would only worry if there's a large.difference in the offset of those wheels vs the stock +48. That would change the scrub radius and potentially put excess load on the wheel bearings.

The offset on the wheels were 42mm. Is that big enough to affect what you mentioned?

These cars need all the help they can get. Heavy wheels don't help.

just sell those boat anchors as fast as possible and get some good lightweight 17's and everything will be fine.
