Correct. No tire pressure warning light, and the wheels/tires are the same as the day I got the car.

I finally got it to replicate and I took back it to the shop literally the very next day and they said yea, no I broke it from "hard driving"... never going to that shop again.
I actually went to one in the north suburbs, it's called Star Auto Authority (http://www.starautoauthority.com/). Sorry to hear that though. Have you found a place you like/trust?

Ahh I see, I'm in the lincolnwood/skokie/jefferson park area. This may be a little bit of a drive for you seeing that the shop you went to is in Vernon Hills, but if you can make the drive RAS tires are AMAZING dudes.

to be honest, their shop looks kinda beaten down and jank and you go through the alley, but the people there are seriously the nicest people I have ever worked with for my car. A couple of nice dudes that have been doing this as their family owned business I believe. Pricing is unbeatable. 40-50 dollars for mount and balance ALL four wheels with a rubber valve stem included. I'm not sure what/how they would charge for TPMS transfer. I took my TPMS out after my first set broke and I didn't want to spend the money to get a new sensor and then reflash every time I switch from my racing wheels to daily wheels, so I deal with the light, but one of my gauges covers the light so I can't see it. You can bring your car to them and you can even help them remove your wheels if you are weary about other people working on your car. Otherwise, you can just bring your wheels and tires in a separate car for easier/quicker turnaround.

It might be difficult to get them on the phone since they are slammed everyday. The best time to call them maybe is towards the end of the day when they are winding down around 5ish or when they first open which I believe is 9. If you do get to talk to someone you can ask for Joe and say the guy with the blue subaru and gold wheels sent you. But their service and price is literally unbeatable and I've never been to a place that cared so much about the owner of the vehicle. Once you do get to speak to them you can put in a reservation.

EDIT: now that I look at the 80 reviews... there was only ONE rating with a 1 star and that guy was upset because apparently they ordered the wrong tires for him.. imo you should do your due diligence and work WITH the shop to ensure you receive the right stuff.... Or at the very least give them the right specs for the correct tire size so I don't even think that review should count against them.

I really appreciate the recommendation - thanks. Unfortunately, I had to pay the other shop up front, so I'm afraid I might be bound to them for this project. I'll definitely look at using RAS in the future though. Thanks again.

Why and how should one do his diligence and work with the shop to make sure he get the right specs? It doesn't make any sense.. Do you do your dilligence and work with the restuarant when you order your dish? If I order A and end up getting B, that's the shop's fault IMHO.
