Heh, no more power rumour. They are just fucking with people at this point. What a pointless release if true.

I would be embarrassed to drive around a fully badged out STIBRZ and still with the same stock speed.

Cause US market has only been exposed to the WRX STi so we consider anything STi to be only a high power variant

I'd love something like an FA22 with 225-230hp and a slightly higher redline. I'd prefer that over FI

Or just do headers, custom tune and update the FD ratio on your existing ride to get more or less the same?

I don't want to start a new turbo discussion here, but Subaru/STI are not tuners who will just provide what certain people want. They have their values and they know the limits of the car. The chassis might be great and can handle the extra power, but it is not that simple. You need to provide also a safe car. If they had to provide a FI version, then they would need to move weight on the rear (mid-/rear- engine car) or provide a kind of AWD.

Personally, I wouldn't like any of these options.

Or just do a smog legal Vortech SC bolt-on on a completely stock car and get 293hp on a conservative tune that will last the life of the car.

Don't you think they didn't do it as an internal experiment? Toyota did it for sure! If I recall correctly, it was a GRMN concept car.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say, no not really. Adding 25-100 hp to this car doesn't necessitate adding weight to the rear, or "AWD" to make it safe to drive.

You're acting like someone's trying to add 100 hp to an unmodified 60s vintage VW Beatle

I thought the only smog legal S/Cs available were the Edlebrock and JRSC?

Edit - Isn't 293hp at the crank extremely generous for an otherwise stock car, even with e85?
