Just buy the wing and install it when it comes out and you'll have the same car

My BRZ has a strong, independent flat engine that don't need no yuge wang.

why on earth would you think any version of any car is the best we're gonna get? what is best anyway? different people like different things and no one ever knows what models will be developed in the future. If you don't like what you got sell and and get something else. Welcome to the world of car buying.

We'll see what happens...

But, my thinking right now is I'd rather have a PP than a version with 86 STi badges and no turbo lol

I would have to think even a tuned by STi version would use the PP as a jump off point.

JDM BRZ catalog

It depends. Some of the suspension and chassis tweaks on the 2017 were made from lessons learned after STI and TRD made their respective versions of the car in Japan (the new dampers is an example). The linked catalog, if you scroll down, details the available STI parts that are for the 2017+. So with the addition of the wing, there is some probability that any of those parts could make it over to the US version. Unlike the actual tS, there wouldn't be any additional changes beyond the accessories as there hasn't been a new tS developed for the zenki (e.g., dampers, also the tS had an improved rear subframe assembly that was not offered through the standard catalog, etc.)

Here's to hoping it's a true TS with stiffer bushings than stock.
