I'm a pretty firm proponent of craft beer in cans and I haven't been able to identify any downsides versus bottles.

The can protects the beer from light and oxygen exposure, and the inside of the can is coated, so the liquid isn't actually in contact with aluminum.

Not to mention it's lighter, so it's easier to transport (and recycle) versus glass bottles. It's also more accessible in places that glass isn't allowed like beaches.

Regardless of the packaging type, you should always be decanting your beer and enjoying it in a glass if at all possible.

Maybe I'll give it another shot when I go to BevMo for another beer run (when ever that'll be). Any suggestions?

That maybe the reason why I can taste a difference...I've always just drank beer out of the can and never poured it into a cup. lol.

Anybody else have the DRL Hid kit from Diode Dynamics? They keep dying on me for some reason. Got them replaced under warranty several times already and they just died again today just after the warranty expired.

Hm, that is a style that I don't see canned often. Looks like Golden Road makes one though.

I'll keep an eye out the next time I'm at my bottle shop and see if I can find any.

Ya, just did a quick and dirty wash but it looks like the wheels need to be off the car to do a good full detail. Would any regular wax work? I was thinking of ordering some of this for the next time:

Definitely must have the wheels off the car for a full detail (I'd detail the barrels and backs of the faces as well).

Any wax would work IF it's a painted wheel. I'm not sure how paint wax reacts with powder coating or any other material. That CG product appears to be like any other wax/sealant, but looks like it's formulated for any type of wheel surface. The Collinite 476s wax I used on my TC105N back when I got them back in November 2015 is still holding up strong, and it's the same wax I use on every inch of my cars (minus anything rubber or black plastic).

I spent 3+ hours detailing my car yesterday (pics coming soon) and had some frustrating experiences with a few products which is part of the reason it took so long.

This was the most squishy and soft clay I've ever used. It turned out to be very ineffective at removing contamination because it was not nearly aggressive/abrasive enough. I had to go back and forth over a small spot so many times with a high downward pressure and it still hardly picked up the tougher stains/spots. Pretty worthless for a car like mine that lives outside. I guess this would be good for a car that gets washed/detailed often and lives in a garage? I threw it out after using it.

It was hard to tell from the photos, but I thought this expensive ass brush was going to have soft bristles made out of some sort of flexible material. Instead, it has super stiff nylon bristles. As a result, any type of scrubbing of spokes you attempt to do with it makes the wheel cleaner you just sprayed on fly up in various directions. Similar to the effect of a cheap toilet brush, launching water in various directions. I threw this POS out after using it as well.

Lastly, I used this Chemical Guys wax: http://www.chemicalguys.com/Butter_W...wac_201_16.htm

I had used this wax in the past and been happy with it, but for some reason this time it was really difficult to work with. I applied it using a high quality microfiber applicator pad and found it very sticky and requiring a decent amount of effort to spread around. Buffing it off also required way more elbow grease than I expected. Wasn't sure exactly how much to use so I opted for "less is more" even though perhaps that means my coating in some areas is thinner than ideal. Really confused as to why this was so difficult to apply and then buff off. It was almost like it wasn't "liquidy" enough and was sticky and gummy instead.


Oh, I also noticed that my driver's side e-brake cable seems to be getting shredded from rubbing against my wheel. I vaguely remember someone mentioning that you have to "bend a bracket" in order to fix this.
